Congratulations to the Big Welsh Quiz 24/25 Winners

A huge llongyfarchiadau to this year’s Big Welsh Quiz winners – Glasgow Welsh Society! After a packed year of rounds across the UK, the top three teams went head-to-head in the grand final, and what a contest it was: 

1st place: Glasgow – 50.5 / 60 🥇  
2nd place: Cambridge – 49 / 60 🥈  
3rd place: Edinburgh – 41.5 / 60 🥉  

All three teams brought brilliant energy and knowledge, which made for an evening of quick-fire quizzing and some very impressive scores. Thank you to every society that took part – you’ve made this year’s Big Welsh Quiz a huge success! 

The Big Welsh Quiz is Back for 25/26 

Think your team could beat Glasgow next year? We’re hitting the road again with another season of the Big Welsh Quiz, a fun and relaxed quiz night designed to bring Welsh society members together in cities across the UK.  

Organised in partnership with Welsh societies and GymGyms, each event is a great way to connect with other Welsh students, celebrate your culture, and enjoy a good night out.  

What’s on offer:  

  • £100 prize for the winning team at each event  
  • A place in the Big Welsh Quiz Grand Final, with £500 up for grabs  
  • A fun, free event that supports your society and brings people together  

Supported by Big Ideas Wales, this quiz series also reconnects students with opportunities back home – including pathways into business and entrepreneurship in Wales after graduation.
