The Darogan Welsh Society Support Fund Returns for 2025

After a successful run last year, the Darogan Welsh Society Support Fund is back and ready to support Welsh university societies across the UK once again. Click here to apply, or read on to learn more about it!
We understand how much time, energy, and creativity goes into running a society, especially when budgets are tight. That’s exactly why this fund exists; to give societies the boost they need to grow and bring their communities closer together.
Whether your Welsh society is brand new or has been part of campus life for years, your society is invited to apply.
This year, societies can request up to £250 in funding. The money can be used in any way that helps your society flourish, from equipment and materials to events, workshops, or anything else that makes a meaningful impact on your members.
How to Apply
To apply, upload a short response of no more than 500 words. In your application, make sure to include:
- The amount of funding you are applying for (up to £250)
- How you plan to spend it
- What kind of difference this support would make for your society
- You’re welcome to explain how much of the fund you are applying for, how you would spend this money, and what you think the impact will be for your society, and upload anything else you’d like to share!
We created this fund to help Welsh societies not only survive but thrive. It’s about ensuring every community, big or small, has the opportunity to celebrate Welsh identity and build something meaningful on campus.
